Independence Day message by Hon. Anamero Sunday Dekeri

Hon Anamero

Citizens of Edo State.

It is with full gratitude to God that today, we celebrate Nigeria’s sixty-three (63) Independence Day Anniversary.

Conscious of the fact that in 1960 Nigeria’s journey to democracy began in earnest with high hopes and expectations working towards the achievement of the needed dividend of democracy.

Nigeria’s freedom and progress are worth celebrating despite some setbacks and challenges faced by all and sundry over the years.

At this junction, our renewed hope and expectations are gradually being worked out by our president, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who has demonstrated genuine leadership and dedication to building the prosperity of our dear Nation.

As the member representing Etsako federal constituency in the National Assembly, I want to assure you that the National Assembly are working on major bills and motions to help the president of our dear country bring the needed prosperity and create wealth for our people.

Fellow Nigerians, we know the times are hard, especially with the removal of fuel subsidy, let us have hope in our leaders and I am optimistic that there is a ray of hope and Nigerians shall smile again.

In my few days in the National Assembly, I have made 32 millionaires, built markets, donated boreholes, given bursaries to our students in some tertiary institutions and commenced the distribution of 500,000 books among others. This and many more are done to add meaning and better humanity.

It is my commitment to do more to better the lot of the citizenry of Edo State.

I wish Nigerians a happy sixty-three (63)Independence Day celebration.

God bless Nigeria!
God bless Edo state!!
God bless Etsako Federal constituency!!
